Test Results by Site:
In our tests Online Poker Watchdog have generated data from hand histories using the custom report feature in Poker Tracker. One of the features of Poker Tracker is that once you have made a custom report you can export it so that it can be used by others who own Poker Tracker.
We have exported the custom reports used in our tests and have made them available for download. Anyone can download these custom reports - they will appear as a 'pt3rpt' file when downloaded. To use them you will need to import them into Poker Tracker - this is very easy and takes only a couple of minutes.
If you don't own Poker Tracker but want to run the reports you can get a 60 day free trial*.
In providing these reports we hope that people will be encouraged to test their own hand histories so that they can be sure that the games that they play are fair.
We also wanted to make these tests available as we have occasionally been accused of being biased towards the poker sites and 'rigging the results to make the sites look fair'. We hope that in providing the reports for anyone to use that we can show that this is obviously not the case - if in doubt you can test your own hand histories!
Performing a 'bad beat test' on your own hand histories is not as difficult as it may seem. Poker Blog X have produced a series of short videos that take you, step by step, through a test from start to finish.
Anyone with basic mathematical skills and the ability to use Poker Tracker and a spreadsheet can run a test for themselves. The first time you perform a test we expect it will take you about an hour to run a complete test but once you know how you can expect to do it faster than this.
The first of these videos takes you through importing the custom report to Poker Tracker and is shown below. The rest of the videos can be seen at Poker Blog X.
